Roberta C. Pyle
West Chester, Pennsylvania
October 10, 2020
Roberta Pyle, 86, of West Chester, PA, died October 10, 2020 at home after a long illness.
She was born in and grew up in Kennett, PA. Roberta was a 1955 graduate of the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in History, and a minor in English. A flower enthusiast, she would love spending time at Longwood Gardens, and creating her own floral arrangements that she would often give as gifts.
She married Walt Pyle in 1964 and was married for 44 years until Walt’s death in 2008.
Roberta is survived by her sons, Bruce, of West Chester who was her caregiver for many years, Eric (Ruthann) of Clayton, DE, and a brother, Don Connor of Tallahassee, FL.
She has three granddaughters, Lauren Pyle, of Northeast MD, and Chloe and Melissa Pyle of Clayton, DE., all of whom she was enormously proud of.
Roberta also has a 2-year-old great-grandson, Landon.
Roberta loved all her animals, especially her beloved Weimaraner, Duchess. Duchess was a constant source of comfort. As she was a woman of strong faith, we are comforted to know that she is home in the arms of her Lord and Savior.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Main Line Health for their ongoing care.
